“Practice to Fall” is a video documenting rehearsals for the performance “She seemed devastated, when I was weeping with Joy”. A performer attempts to move a life-sized puppet, repeatedly failing to assert control over it. Oscillating between manipulation and surrender, the work depicts two interdependent bodies suspended between the states of the animate and the inanimate.
