For most of South Koreans in my generation, North Korea is conceived like a virtual world that doesn’t exist in real life. <Beautiful work of art> is a video essay which takes place in a 3D rendered Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. The google search results and the voice of my mother follows the scattered trace of my grandfather’s brother, who is a sculptor in North Korea.
